watching the game together and enjoing the moment with a group of passionate fans. She wanted to recreate that feeling of comraderie, togetherness and excitement of watching a game with other like-minded fans.

​Nici knew there were Spurs supporters in Johannesburg but there was not an offiicial supporters club so she contacted Tottenham Hotspur, who appointed her as Chairperson for Johannesburg Spurs in September 2015.

We started out as a small group of friends who are all Spurs supporters and the first matchday social in October 2015 was attended by 9 members. Word spread very quickly and soon we had up to 40 supporters and more joining us for matchday socials. We currently have over 500 members with this number growing daily.

Ross signed up in October 2015 and attended our first matchday social, Sazenca and David signed up in January 2016.

Nici handed the chairwoman baton to Sazenca in 2022 so she could focus more of her time on work and family commitments. This was an incredibly difficult decision as she had built the club to what it is today.

Sazenca later added Tazz to the Post-Covid JHB Spurs committee.
